Private Party at Spielhaus

Private Party at Spielhaus

It’s not every day you get a private party at a board game cafe. It’s also not every day you get to be the first customers enjoying an alcoholic beverage on a newly minted liquor license. It’s also not every day you get to help the store owners of a shop you’ve just arrived at install a brand new TV in time for the Raptor’s who are about to go to the finals. And it certainly isn’t every day when you get to do all of these things in one night!

So for those of you who missed out on our epic board game night, don’t worry – we will probably do it again sometime soon. It was a real blast and boy does Spielhaus have a solid selection of games to choose from!

It’s pretty incredible how many Japanese-themed or inspired games there are out there on the market. There are at least two named after old Tokyo (Edo and Yedo). Good favourites like Takenoko and Sushi Go and stuff you’ve probably never thought to give a go.

Well, we had a real blast. Between rounds of Bananagrams and Sushi-Go and a bunch of other games we must have gone through at least four or five.

If you are ever in the neigbourhood and want to check Spielhaus out, make sure you go hungry. They whip up some mean wraps and sandwiches – we were big fans of the Trash Panda!

Sorry you missed out on all the fun and games, but there will always be next time!
